SEO is an extremely fluid industry. When I first started studying SEO I tried to learn from books, but the problem was that even books published within a year before were already outdated. The best way I found to keep up with current SEO was by following SEO blogs. Recently, I came upon this update regarding Klout scores. Apparently, The Klout Man has updated his criteria for assigning a Klout score. The Klout score was only invented in 2008, but the 2012 Klout score is measured vastly differently than it was in 2008.
In case you're unfamiliar with your Klout score, you can find it out by going to Klout.com and connecting your accounts (like facebook, twitter, pinterest). Klout will analyze the number of people who like your statuses, or retweet your tweets, and all manner of other things listed here. Klout, of course, has it's own scale, which goes from 1 to 100, but it's just like other SEO-related measurements in that the best way to increase it is - you guessed it - networking. Ultimately, knowing your Klout score can be helpful in leveraging sponsors.
What's your Klout score?
